5 groups came together to realise a dream and the Pavilion Committee was formed.

The 5 groups were:-

• St Peters Church 
• Hindley ARLFC
• Hindley St Peters Cricket Club
• 8th Wigan Coy. Boys' Brigade
• Girl Guiding UK
